Description

Zwicker aka Cyril Boehler is a very prolific producer, composer and DJ from Zuerich. He is part of the vital Zuerich electronic scene and has been involved in countless productions that received praise from a worldwide audience. Under his moniker “Tweak“ he released the album „Hybrid Organics“ (2001, Straight Ahead). After a handful of successful vinyl Zwicker releases on the renownend labels BearFunk, Compost Black Label and Get Physical it was time to refine the warm mixture of mutated Disco, House, Electro and Pop on his full length album „Songs Of Lucid Dreamers“. Beside remixes by Junior Boys and Soulourist you find „Who You Are“ Original on this Remix EP 1. There´s no need to tell much about Junior Boys: Their music has drawn variously from disco, electro-pop, UK garage, R&B—and Frank Sinatra. They bear traces of Munich, London, Chicago, Virginia Beach, Tin Pan Alley—and yet they hail from Hamilton, Ontario. They are men of the world, but you can call them Junior Boys. The men in question, of course, are Jeremy Greenspan and Matt Didemus, and their story is an unlikely one: two childhood friends who had no real intention of becoming professional musicians—and yet, six years after the almost accidental founding of the band, find themselves with three studio albums and a mix CD under their belts, their passports ragged after frequent touring, their press books brimming with clippings. Soultourist - the boys from Zurich established a unique style of house-music, which is based on Boogie and Hip Hop as well as Dub and Techno. Soultourist is consisting of the producers Foster, Thabo, Big Clap and Ron Shiller. Their refreshing productions have been in the playlist of tasteful DJs and Ron Shiller’s DJ-Sets at the Zukunft made them some serious fans. By the way Ron is also running Drumpoet with Alex Dallas and therefore Soultourist’s trademark have to be mentioned and credited as stylecoining also for the label.
